The project “‘Subsidiarity in Peacebuilding: Engaging Locals in Conflict Transformation: A Case Study on Afghanistan” aims to explore and analyze existing peace-building models in Afghanistan that are not imposed by foreign actors but rather stem from traditional and customary practices rooted in the local community. The ultimate objective of this project is to identify strategies and activities of peaceful social interaction and reconciliation of interests, which are rooted in society (traditional, cultural, religious and local). Furthermore, it intends to support their distribution and popularization in Afghanistan and to facilitate their consideration by the current international actors.
