Berghof Conflict Research administers the Georg Zundel Scholarship on behalf of the Berghof Foundation for Conflict Studies. Named in honour of the foundation’s founder, this two year scholarship is awarded to PhD students who demonstrate a capacity for excellence in the field of conflict transformation. Their proposed project must be closely related to our research interests.

Working at our office in Berlin, scholarship recipients are integrated into one of our three project teams. In particular, we expect their work to make a significant contribution to the theoretical foundations of our research agenda. The current recipients, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), are conducting research on the conflict in Kashmir and ‘places of memory’ in Latin America.

The next call for applications can be expected in 2011.
